Dust Boots Designed to Last

Safer for longer. No compromise.

MOOG’s NEW Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) dust boots with metal retaining rings protect steering and suspension joints from water and contaminates up to 2x longer than standard chloroprene dust boots.

By choosing MOOG, a steering and suspension repair is safer for longer. No compromise.

Improved protection for maximum durability

Steering and suspension parts such as ball joints, link stabilisers, tie rod ends and assemblies, and track control arms, commonly have elastomeric dust boots made of chloroprene rubber.

Worn Ball Joint

Chloroprene rubber dust boots tend to be vulnerable to the effects of the elements, pollutant gases, and chemicals, which can cause them to become brittle and tear over time.

Ruptured dust boots will expose the joint to moisture and dirt, leading to corrosion and accelerated wear.

MOOG has developed a solution to this problem by introducing dust boots made from Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) that are highly resistant to weathering, mechanical stress and chemicals.

In addition to that MOOG also uses metal sealing rings to keep the dust boot firmly in place.
