Borja Garcia (#1 Alex Caffi Motorsports Ford Mustang) was unstoppable in the ELITE 1 season opener at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain. On his home track, the Spaniard led from flag to flag to win his second career NASCAR race and start 2017 on top of the points standings. Garcia also gave former Formula 1 driver Alex Caffi his first win as the Alex Caffi Motorsport Team Owner.

The first ELITE 2 race of the 2017 NWES season turned out to be a war of attrition, a tight battle in which the slightest mistake meant losing several places under the checkered flag and it was Thomas Ferrando (#37 Knauf Racing Team Ford Mustang) who came out the winner at the end of the 16-lap event with Ulysse Delsaux (#3 RDV Compétition Toyota Camry) finishing second place.

Borja Garcia (#1 Alex Caffi Motorsport Ford Mustang) swept the first weekend of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series in the ELITE 1 Division with another dominant win in front of his crowd at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, but the race definitely wasn’t short of action.

An incredible ELITE 2 Round 2 culminated in an emotional Victory Lane at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo as a determined Ulysse Delsaux (#31 McDonald's RDV Compétition Toyota Camry) won his first career NASCAR race in dominant fashion. In a unique display of sportsmanship, the Frenchman was joined in his celebrations by a vast group of competitors after he climbed out of the car.
